With 18 years of experience and a reputation built on trust, originality, and impact, Rua has performed for global behemoths like Netflix, Warner Bros., and Disney, headlined sold-out Fringe Festival shows, and regularly appears on national television including The Late Late Show, Today Live, TG4’s Draíocht, and Virgin Media’s The Big Deal.

The Deception Artist
Rua was the Lead Consultant on Dublin’s groundbreaking World of Illusion Museum, helping to shape the experience from the ground up. As Head Researcher and Co-Curator of ILLUSION: Nothing Is As It Seems with Science Gallery International, his work toured globally to critical acclaim, blending science, storytelling, and spectacle.
He’s written and starred in his own 10-part TV series, delivered keynote talks on the neuroscience of magic and the psychology of belief, and has regularly presents seminars on the the history of Magic and the life of Houdini.
At home, he's a quiet 38 year old guy, who lives with his Catalan fiancée, their two month old son Liam, and their dog Ollie. He hates snakes and his parents wish he would have been a doctor instead.
